We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Office Assistant in Cheektowaga, New York. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing the front desk, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a detail oriented and efficient business environment.
Responsibilities:- Managing daily front desk operations, including fielding phone calls and sorting incoming mail and packages.
- Greeting and assisting visitors, clients, vendors, and guests, while adhering to strict security protocols.
- Ensuring the front desk traffic flows smoothly to uphold a detail oriented business environment.
- Demonstrating professionalism in interactions with callers and visitors.
- Maintaining guest logs, issuing visitor badges, and ensuring guests follow sign out procedures.
- Handling confidential information with discretion.
- Implementing security measures to ensure a safe work environment, including executing safety or emergency plans as required.
- Showcasing effective time management skills for efficient handling of ongoing tasks.
- Providing administrative support for various projects and programs within the team.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Utilizing skills such as Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, and CRM in daily tasks.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous work experience in an administrative role is strongly preferred
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Skilled in providing excellent customer service, fostering a welcoming and professional environment.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations with grace, professionalism, and efficiency.
