Bookkeeper
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities: Manage account payable process.
Process accounts receivable transactions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial transactions.
Perform account reconciliation tasks and provide periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) reports.
Provide assistance and support to communities of Dominican friars throughout the Midwest in regard to their bookkeeping and accounting functions.
Provide high quality client service and perform administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in using accounting software Quickbooks.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Strong analytical skills for account analysis and reconciliation purposes.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and team skills.
Hourly Rate ($20 to $35 per hour) commensurate with experience.
Work Location: 1910 S. Ashland Ave. Chicago IL 60608. This is an in person position for an office environment that values in person service to our customers.
Job Type: Part time (approximately 20 hours per week). Monday through Friday work week - we can offer flexibility within those hours for individual schedule preferences.
