Mechanical Engineering Technician (CNC Machinist)

Job Summary:
As a member of the Hardware team, you will be responsible for assemblies, modifications, testing, and calibration of multidisciplinary equipment. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and materials engineers to do tasks ranging from running machines, assembling system components, building test rigs, collecting data, and creating detailed reports.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct system integration, testing, and operation of the developed printer
- Conduct equipment maintenance
- Assemble and operate test fixtures and equipment
- Conduct tests and gather data
- Record, analyse and organize test data
- Create test reports in accordance with company’s procedures
- Take an active role in the development process and provide technical feedback
- Provide regular updates on the status of tasks
- Maintain accurate and complete project records; document progress in detailed reports which indicate verification and validation of tests
- Interface with multiple functional disciplines for design input, requirements and potential solutions to problems
- Prepare CAM files and produce parts utilizing CNC machines
Required Skills:
- Extensive hands on experience in assembly of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- Experience in multidisciplinary equipment testing
- Proficiency in CAM applications and CNC machining (Haas)
- Experience in working with electronic components and systems
- Experience in preventive and ongoing maintenance of production equipment
- Knowledge of engineering standards and GD&T
- Executing on complex tasks on tight deadlines
- Effective problem solving capabilities
- Organized and capable of creating accurate detailed reports

- Familiarity with CAD applications (SolidWorks)

Education Requirements:
Associate's degree in mechanical engineering
Experience:
- 5 years of previous experience in mechanical/electronic development in an innovative and dynamic environment
