Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Gain proficiency in key manufacturing operations through training with operators and engineers.
- Manage projects under the Operations Manager's guidance.
- Troubleshoot process issues in collaboration with technicians and operators.
- Develop process documentation and training materials for operators.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement management of change procedures.
- Support the commercialization of new products and processes.
- Use statistical process control to measure product quality and process capability.
- Enhance process efficiencies in quality, productivity, and safety.
- Coordinate with R&D on new products from development to full production.
- Investigate downtime causes and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Foster collaboration between R&D, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and Quality teams.
- Work with Engineering to ensure safety, health, and environmental factors are considered throughout product development.
- Perform additional duties as needed.

The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Over 3 years of experience in manufacturing or chemical processing industries.
- Available by phone during off-shift hours for scheduling or emergencies.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, pumping, piping, and instrumentation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications and able to obtain TWIC certification.
- Skilled in reading P&IDs and schematics.
- Experience in continuous chemical processing within a high-hazard environment is preferred.
- Hands-on with the ability to build rapport with operating, analytical, and maintenance technicians.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Programming experience is a plus.
