| **POSITION SUMMARY:** |
| The Clinical Pharmacy Technician will assist in facilitating clinical |
| pharmacy programs and initiatives. The Clinical Pharmacy Technician |
| will help manage patients with complex conditions with a focus on |
| medication adherence. They will also ensure the delivery of clinical |
| pharmacy services to patients by increasing interactions between |
| patients, pharmacists, providers, and other clinic staff. |
| |
| The duties outlined shall be performed in accordance with the Central |
| Florida Health Cares (CFHC) policies, procedures, Mission and Vision |
| Statements, Overarching Goal, CFHCs performance expectations and all |
| other Federal and State guidelines. |
| |

| **MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:** |
| |
| - Active Pharmacy Technician Licensure (National) |
| - Experience: Minimum 3 years work experience as a technician in a |
| pharmacy setting |

| - Enhance patient medication adherence by ensuring auto-fill |
| status, medication synchronization, 90-day prescriptions, and |
| communication to patients |
| - Create, send, and audit medication adherence reports |
| - Promote accountability to clinical programs by working with |
| pharmacy staff |
| - Mentor on-site pharmacy staff to achieve goals of clinical |
| programs |
| - Collect, analyze, and report data to assess patient outcomes |
| - Optimize the use of antibiotics to effectively treat infections, |
| protect patients from harms caused by unnecessary antibiotic use, |
| and combat antibiotic resistance |
| - Assist in the operations of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics |
| committee |
| - Be familiar with CFHCs program philosophies, goals, and |
| objectives |
| - Be cognizant of and comply with all CFHC policies and procedures, |
| as well as state and federal regulations |
| - Understand the requirements of CFHCs Exposure Control Plan |
| - Assure compliance with this plan by support staff assigned to |
| assist you |
| - Adhere to CFHC quality policies and participate actively in |
| quality improvement process activities |
| - Follow safety and OSHA requirements |
| - Treat patients, staff, and visitors with courtesy, sensitivity, |
| and respect |
| - Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines |
| - Report as needed to the CPO for any pertinent information or |
| situations that impact patient care or CFHC liability |
| - Attend and participate in mandatory CFHC meetings (Center |
| Specific quarterly meetings, Corporate meetings, and other |
| meetings as designated by the CPO, CCO, or CEO) |
| - Enhance professional growth and development by attending |
| in-service meetings and continuing education programs |
| - Maintain neat and professional appearance |
| - Carry out any other activities deemed appropriate by the Clinical |
