About the Job:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts receivable functions and supporting month-end close activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background with hands-on experience in general ledger (GL) maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the accounts receivable process including invoicing, collections, and account maintenance. Ensure timely and accurate recording of all receivables.

Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by performing regular reconciliations, monitoring account balances, and investigating discrepancies.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports as needed, providing insights into financial performance and variances.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audit purposes.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller and other team members to support various accounting and financial initiatives. Provide assistance and insight as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on accounts receivable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
