Unit Secretary 2pm-10pm

What You'll Do:

As a Unit Secretary, you will maintain an organized environment on the nursing unit. Your role is instrumental to ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, residents, and staff in person and over the phone
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records and charts
  • Scheduling appointments and arranging meetings Assisting with data entry, filing, and maintaining inventory of office supplies
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth operations
  • Provide administrative support to the nursing staff

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Unit Secretary:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Additional certification or coursework in office administration is a plus
  • May require experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and in specific functional areas in a long-term care setting
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in office software and basic computer skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
  • Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a team environment
