We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant for non-profit in the Lehigh Valley, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This role involves gaining a detailed understanding of the housing choice voucher program, assisting in administration, occupancy and tenant relations, and providing excellent customer service to visitors and tenants with affordable housing needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with lease signing and office procedures.
  • Greet and assist office visitors.
  • Conduct tenant briefings on program requirements.
  • Manage tenant files and perform recertifications.
  • Interview new tenants and assist in processing all necessary forms
  • Handle incoming telephone calls from tenants, landlords, and various social service agencies Handle tenant/landlord complaints.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and data analysis.
  • Maintain awareness of social and economic issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders. Learn and interpret HUD regulations.
  • Utilize online services for screening applicants.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or relevant administrative role
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required Previous experience in a similar role within a housing association would be advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
