The Controller will work closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making and contribute to the company’s financial health and operational success.

Key Responsibilities include...

Financial Management:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and tax compliance.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP or other relevant standards.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for management and stakeholders.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to inform strategic decisions.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is an asset.
• Progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role.
