Engagement and Administrative Assistant
LOCATION: Remote
SCHEDULE: 20 hours/week, Contractor
The Engagement and Administrative Assistant assists the Director of Engagement, Executive Director, and Board of Directors in its mission to support Finca del Nino Honduras as a Catholic mission that is modeled on the Holy Family to educate, protect, and promote healing and spiritual formation for orphaned and abandoned children.
ResponsibilitiesDonor Relations, Stewardship and Development Support
-Cultivate and steward relationships with donors and community members by following the donor communication plan including: executing and documenting follow-up calling, mailing, and other developmental activities to build donor relationships and enhance donor confidence in the organization.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions using the organization's CRM system.- Strengthen and manage our sponsorship program and database.
- Assist in developing a quarterly donor letter/newsletter for mailing.
- Create and distribute monthly digital Donor Newsletters.
- Support the Development Director in other tasks as needed to advance the overall fundraising and development objectives of Farm of the Child.
- Execute and refine development strategies and priorities as articulated by the Director of Engagement
- Oversee our yearly Diocesan Mission Appeals processes.
- Participate in and support the Farm of the Child USA Development Committee.
-Assist with the planning and execution of community-building events (Masses, fundraisers, dinners)
- Represent Farm of the Child professionally and enthusiastically at events and meetings.
- Distribute and design public relations and prospect materials.
- Help execute Social Media strategy as articulated by Executive Director
- Submit and file all reimbursements for staff and missionaries.
- Receive, track, and file all paperwork pertaining to missionaries, visitors, Board members, etc.
- Receive and organize mail for the organization, including depositing and tracking mail donations.
- Help Service Committee with coordination of travel for University fairs and parish missions.
- When necessary, help coordinate travel of those traveling to/ from Honduras.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as business, communications, nonprofit management) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write for a diverse group of stakeholders and on various digital platforms
- Basic understanding of fundraising principles and donor relations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in and commitment to the mission of Farm of the Child / Finca del Nino
- Salesforce and/or Google ads experience preferred
- Spanish proficiency preferred
- This position may require occasional travel and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend events or meet with donors.

Work Environment- Throughout the course and conduct of working as a Engagement Assistant, the following conditions may apply:
- May be moderate exposure to hazards, extreme temperatures and weather conditions, slippery or uneven surfaces, noise, and/or illnesses
- Occasional overnight travel (less than 10%)
