As a Health Behavior Technical SETA, you will play a vital role as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H Program Managers by offering invaluable support and thought leadership to the Proactive Health Office. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in health behavior and mental health; digital innovation; and business planning, marketing, and commercialization toward the broad uptake of innovative health solutions.This role requires a unique blend of technical, business, regulatory, and collaborative skills to guide the development of innovative health solutions that enhance wellness and improve patient care and outcomes

Responsibilities
As a Health Behavior Technical SETA, you will assist and advise ARPA-H Program Managers on any and all technical, programmatic, and administrative tasks that further their research and development programs. Specific duties may include:
- Health Behavior and Mental Health Advisement:Provide expert technical assistance in developing and evaluating programs to support the Proactive Health Office mission.
- Business Planning, Marketing, and Commercialization Advisement: Assist and advise on business planning, commercial market, product development, intellectual property. Evaluate potential proactive health solutions for the likelihood of broad uptake and commercialization. Support project planning, execution, and documentation, ensuring alignment with ARPA-H's mission and Proactive Health Office objectives.
- Digital Health Innovation Support:Assist in researching novel technical concepts for proactive health solutions such as those that leverage AI and digital technologies including passive sensing, digital phenotyping, remote monitoring and adaptive treatment strategies.
- Regulatory and Ethical Support:Ensure compliance with healthcare technology regulations and address data privacy, security, and ethical concerns in using personal health data.
- Program Management Support:Establish and maintain relationships with external consultants, vendors, and partners and identify new partnerships when appropriate.Manage relationship with client and all stakeholders, provide briefings to executive level leadership, and resolve challenging problems with stakeholders.Oversee a team of staff and mentor more junior staff and colleagues.

Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience- PhD in Health Behavior or Mental Health related field, with a focus on clinically-relevant health behavior and mental health applications.
- 7 years of related experience, including at least 6 years project management experienceand 2 years of supervisory experience
- Digital Health Innovation: Familiarity with current trends in digital technologies for healthcare. Insight into clinical care models, healthcare challenges, and regulatory and ethical considerations in digital health. Expertise in leveraging AI and digital technologies such as remote monitoring for personalized adaptive treatment strategies. Comprehensive knowledge of the challenges and emerging opportunities in implementing digital technologies for healthcare.
- Collaborative & Interdisciplinary: Track record of successful collaboration with others from diverse roles (clinicians, scientists) and fields (medicine, engineering) to achieve interdisciplinary program goals.
- Regulatory: Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for healthcare technology development. Awareness of data privacy, security, and ethical concerns in using personal health data within digital applications.
- Proven ability to integrate complex biological and clinical data with advanced computational techniques
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills; demonstrated capacity for detailed organization and synthesis of abstract and disparate information
- Strong technical writing skills with an ability to prepare effective documentation, including published, peer-reviewed articles in field of STEM expertise
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, as Ripple Effect is currently not set up to sponsor in any capacity.
