We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Stamford, Connecticut for a Receptionist 3. This role is rooted in the industry of customer service, where the successful candidate will have the responsibility to provide high-level administrative support.
The role involves conducting research, handling information requests, performing clerical functions, and serving as the first point of contact for our visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct visitors, providing a warm and professional first impression of our organization.
- Efficiently manage incoming calls, operating the telephone or console switchboard as required.
- Handle courier services, ensuring the timely arrival and dispatch of packages.
- Maintain a comprehensive visitor log and/or call record, and manage the issuance of security passes/badges.
- Perform typing, filing, photocopying, and binding tasks as a part of daily clerical functions.
- Schedule and maintain the boardroom, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment.
- Utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for administrative tasks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Execute other administrative support tasks as required.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills while dealing with visitors and staff members. • Proficiency in customer service, demonstrating a patient and helpful demeanor
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data handling and presentation
- Ability to conduct effective research
- Familiarity with 'About Time' software for effective time management
- Experience in receptionist duties including handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, and greeting visitors
- Knowledge of security protocols to ensure a secure environment
- Fast typing skills for efficient data entry
- Experience in clerical duties such as organizing files and documents
- Proficiency in filing systems, both physical and digital
- Understanding of conductivity principles
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with team members and customers
- Proficiency in using photocopiers and other office equipment
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting emails, reports, and other documents
- Experience in handling courier services to ensure timely delivery of parcels
- Knowledge of switchboard operations for effective call routing
- Ability to handle visitors professionally and courteously
- Proficiency in various computer programs for efficient task completion
- Experience in handling mailers for effective communication
- Ability to direct visitors to the appropriate departments or individuals.
