Robert Half Talent Solutions is representing a well established company in the Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania area. As a Controller, you will be playing a crucial role in managing our financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.

You will also work with accounting software to assist in month-end tasks and maintain the general ledger (GL).

Responsibilities:

Oversee budgeting and forecasting operations to ensure financial efficiency
Manage cost accounting tasks to monitor and control expenses
Use accounting software, such as Sage or similar, for financial management and reporting
Assist in month-end tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Work with the General Ledger (GL) for maintaining accurate company financial records
Leverage intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling
Utilize various skills such as 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, and Crystal Reports for effective financial management
Oversee accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Conduct auditing tasks to ensure compliance with financial regulations
Manage budget processes to align financial planning with company objectives
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
Proficient in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, and Crystal Reports
Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Budget Processes
Proficient in managing financial records and interpreting financial data
Proven ability to manage budgets and financial forecasting
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.
