Accounting Clerk

Our client in the agricultural industry, based in Fallbrook, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing industry and be part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing vendor invoices.
• Verify and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and assist with monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and petty cash.
• Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate records and updating financial spreadsheets.
• Handle data entry for financial transactions and organize physical and digital records efficiently.
• Provide administrative support for audits and financial reporting as needed.
• Assist in generating reports and summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience also considered.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally within the agricultural or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
