Customer Service Representative

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the Higher Education sector, based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role will be fully on-site, where you will be the first point of contact for students, providing them with crucial information regarding their accounts and balances.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, addressing their queries about account balances and payment plans
• Conduct front-line window duties, ensuring smooth operations and efficient service delivery
• Handle inbound calls and emails from students, providing timely and accurate responses
• Utilize Workday and ISRS (Minnesota State System) for data entry and account management
• Perform bank reconciliations as part of the role's financial responsibilities
• Engage with students, demonstrating patience and friendliness in all interactions
• Use Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel and Word, for various tasks
• Collaborate with other team members, sharing responsibilities during peak times
• Actively contribute to the streamlining of processes, working towards enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated proficiency in answering inbound calls in a detail-oriented manner
• Proven experience in providing high-quality call center customer service
• Strong customer service skills to handle queries and complaints effectively
• Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Excellent skills in email correspondence with a focus on detail orientation and prompt responses
• Experience with both inbound and outbound calls in a customer service environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word for document creation and editing
• Experience with order entry systems, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently, optimizing the use of resources
• Familiarity with Workday for managing workflows and data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience in phone coverage, ensuring all calls are answered promptly
• Comfortable with handling inbound telephone calls, providing information and assistance
• Demonstrated ability to engage students in a higher education environment, promoting participation and involvement
