Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team in the Private Medical industry, located in CANFIELD, Ohio, 44406-1596, United States. This role is a contract to hire opportunity. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing patient scheduling, handling inbound calls, and performing various administrative tasks.

Schedule is Monday through Friday 7:45/8am-4pm or when the doctor wraps up the last patient.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls and respond to patient inquiries efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments for patients and physicians.
  • Coordinate procedure scheduling for patients.
  • Process and manage patient records accurately.
  • Ensure all documents are properly faxed and distributed.
  • Handle billing functions and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain patient charts and graphs for reference.
  • Use fax machines for document transmission as required.
  • Answer and resolve any patient or physician inquiries.
  • Ensure all medical reception tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Weekly bank deposit (will require you to drive to the bank and drop off)
  • Faxing
  • Scheduling surgery and appointments for 6 plus doctors
  • Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the private medical industry.
  • Exceptional ability to answer and manage inbound calls efficiently.
  • Proficiency in handling billing functions and maintaining accuracy in all transactions.
  • Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs for data presentation.
  • Experience in patient scheduling, physician scheduling, and procedure scheduling.
  • Familiarity with fax machines and the ability to fax documents as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest level of professional standards.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
