Our client is a $30M - $40M Automotive Manufacturer who has quickly ascended to be a top brand in their space. This position will sit out of their cutting-edge headquarters near the Vernon Hills, IL area where the chosen Accounting Manager will seize command of the company's financial realm.

• Oversee and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to foster professional growth.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage inventory accounting, including cycle counts, reconciliation, variance reporting, and adjustments.
• Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard cost updates, variance reporting, and product costing.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance to drive cost efficiencies and profitability.
• Inspect and monitor manufacturing costs, margins, and financial performance, and provide insights.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls related to inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to align with business goals.
• Act as a business partner to cross-functional teams, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with audits, tax regulations, and corporate financial policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to streamline accounting functions.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5+ Years of Accounting Experience either in the Manufacturing Industry and/or in the Public Accounting sector with exposure to Manufacturing clients
• Inventory Management and Cost Accounting Experience
• CPA or CPA Eligibility is strongly preferred, but not required
• Previous Management Experience is preferred, but not required
• Possesses cross functional business partnering experience
• Excellent communication ability, both written and verbal

• A salary ranging from $120,000 - $130,000 annually.
• A Discretionary Bonus, on top of the base salary, based on company and role performance.
