We are in search of an Accounting / Accounts Payable Clerk for our team in Hartford, Connecticut. This role is fundamental in our accounting operations, where you will be tasked with managing our company's financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of accounts payable to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
  • Apply your skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounting Functions to manage and process customer credit applications.
  • Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement accounting procedures and policies.
  • Use your knowledge of local accounting regulations to ensure our company's compliance.
  • Handle the submission of financial reports and statements to relevant departments in a timely manner.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed to support the accounting department. • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Ability to perform various accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Experience in document and invoice submission
  • Must be a local candidate
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
