Mobile Maintenance Technician
Overview:
Job Summary: The Mobile Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuing the uninterrupted operation of machinery and equipment essential for the production of aluminum castings. This position requires a skilled and versatile individual capable of performing various maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventative maintenance measures to optimize equipment efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
THIS POSITION IS for a 4AM to NOON SHIFT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical- Perform preventative and repair maintenance on machinery, equipment, trailers, lift trucks, loaders and cranes to extend equipment lifespan and optimize performance
- Dismantle, install, inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as grinder and drill.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machinery or rolling stock parts.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut and join metal parts.
- Detect equipment malfunction and diagnose to determine cause and minimize production interruptions (troubleshoot)
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including servos and controls.
- Calibrate machines to meet production specifications and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain machinery and equipment inventories
- Maintain personal and Company tool inventories
- Maintain work area in a safe, neat and orderly condition
- Utilize spare parts inventory system
- Work with management to come up with ideas to improve processes
- Understand and apply company policies and procedures
- Participate in meetings effectively
- Utilize support systems associated with maintenance
- Using the CMMS, identify and suggest corrective actions for patterned failures
- Aid the maintenance department in reaching an RCM and WCM future state
Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mobile Maintenance Technician in an industrial setting, preferably in aluminum casting or similar manufacturing industries
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and schematics
- Knowledge of and adherance to industrial safety regulations, protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal downtime and assist in achieving production targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and communicate quality-related information effectively.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
- Proven ability to work in a low supervisory environment while successfully meeting goals.
- Display a constructive helpful attitude and promote a positive working environment
- Inform, assist and train team members
- Ability to calculate and apply mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to practical situations

Environmental Hazards
Physical- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Frequent gross manipulation: seizing, holding, grasping, turning
- Frequent fine manipulation: picking, pinching, touching
- Frequent high posture: standing, walking, climbing
- Frequent low posture: crawling, crouching, kneeling, stooping, sitting, laying
- The employee will experience exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moderate vibrations, and frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
