Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant

Robert Half is supporting a growing law firm in Buckhead Atlanta with the search for a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant. This position will support attorneys and paralegals with litigation cases.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in workers' compensation cases.
• Prepare, format, and file legal documents such as pleadings, correspondence, and discovery records.
• Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining physical and digital records.
• Schedule and coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel regarding case-related matters.
• Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
• Assist with document review, trial preparation, and drafting client communications (where applicable by jurisdiction).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally within workers' compensation law or a related legal practice area.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with workers' compensation legal terminology, processes, and filing deadlines.
• A team-oriented mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
