Logistics Clerk

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in the high tech electronics industry in Irwindale, California. The role involves managing and organizing various aspects of our logistics operations, with specific tasks related to customer service, inventory management, and packaging.

• Efficiently processing customer applications to ensure a smooth workflow
• Maintaining detailed and accurate customer credit records
• Resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitoring customer accounts and executing appropriate actions
• Securing products for transport using materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, or shrink wrap
• Ensuring packages are correctly labeled with shipping information, barcodes, and other necessary details
• Organizing packaged products for shipment, including stacking or placing them in the specified area
• Assisting in inventory management tasks, including counting and checking items for accuracy
• Inspecting items for defects or damages before packaging them, ensuring quality control
• Utilizing various computer programs and ERP solutions, including IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, for efficient workflow management • Minimum of 1 year experience in a logistics role or similar field
• Proficient in using computer programs and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus
• Experience with About Time software is desirable
• Ability to handle answering inbound calls efficiently
• Experience in performing billing functions accurately
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exceptional customer service abilities
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory management
• Experience in handling packing slips and packaging materials
• Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multitask.
