Property Accountant

Our client is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the monthly accounting and reporting for a portfolio of properties. Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the monthly accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of properties.
• Prepare and analyze complex financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize software to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Engage and communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and property managers through various channels.
• Maintain a high level of detail orientation while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve company goals.
• Assist with other accounting-related tasks and projects as needed.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accountant role.
• Experience with Month End Close processes is required.
• The applicant should be adept at Financial Statement Preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Excel Formulas is necessary for efficient workflow management.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations are a plus.
