IP Legal Assistant

IP Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

• Maintain patent prosecution files and manage daily patent prosecution dockets while ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Prepare routine patent correspondence, reports and responses for filing.
• Prepare Information Disclosure Statements.
• Manage emails, maintain calendars, schedule meetings and arrange audio and video conferences.
• Assist with time entry, schedule and manage travel arrangements and expense forms.
• Assist with opening of new matters; prepare conflict checks, engagement letters and new business intake.
• Process expense reports, check requests, scanning, copying, word processing, and coordinate incoming/outgoing mail, faxes and emails.

• Bachelor Degree preferred
• 2-4+ years of experience in intellectual property required
• Knowledge, experience, and understanding of patent procedures and e-filing procedures of the USPTO
• Experience with PAIR and EFS-Web filing; CPI, EPAS and navigating websites such as EPO and WIPO preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
