Billing Specialist

Robert Half is working with a law firm in the Coral Gables area, who is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist for a contract to perm position within our renowned team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, distribute, and manage all client invoices using Time slips software
• Monitor accounts for timely payments and provide detailed reports on billing activity
• Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure all financial data has been collected and processed
• Address client inquiries, resolve billing issues, and negotiate arrangements with clients as necessary
• Maintain up-to-date billing system and ensure all clients records are accurate
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for senior management
• Identify inefficiencies and propose updates to billing procedures
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to streamline the invoicing and collection process
• 2+ years experience in a billing role, in a law firm setting is a must
• Strong knowledge of legal billing practices and proficiency in Time Slips software is a MUST
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with clients
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve billing disputes amicably
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
• Demonstrates respect for diversity and cultural sensitivity
