THE BIG TASK

The goal of the Plumbing Project Manager is to manage all personnel in Sewer and Projects as well as assist the Service Manager & Team Leads. The main responsibility of the role is to provide the leadership to enhance the sales, productivity, and profit of the department through personal efforts and the efforts of the team.

This manager accomplishes this through managing, coaching and training the plumbers, drain cleaners and apprentices/helpers.

Qualifications:

Do I have What it Takes?
  • Minimum 5-8 years plumbing experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Journeyman Licensed Plumber or be willing and able to become licensed.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing needs & services.

Responsibilities:

What Will I Do?
  • Promote our brand through adherence to WCABuckeye Group Core Values.
  • Embrace and proactively seek out development opportunities through continued training (specifically in industry-specific best practices and products) and one-on-one coaching.
  • Plan, prepare and present product and technical training at selected weekly meetings. Prepare this information and sessions using visual illustration by means of pictures or videos, and in a way that fosters group involvement/engagement in the learning.
  • Review daily operations for installs to be completed that day for proper material, layout, locates, and coordinate with other trades.
  • Perform Daily onsite visits to ensure proper safety, execution, site protection, proper plumbing techniques and learn training needs.
  • Be available to help with installations when the install schedule is full
  • Work with Project coordinator on proper scheduling issues, and additional manpower needs.
  • Assist the service manager & team leads with on call scheduling, as well as creating an emergency action plan for all personnel when weather events occur.
  • Assist with technician commissions and bonuses.
  • Manage personnel with respectful and positive attitude.
  • Hold each team member accountable for meeting goals, following work rules, and proper conduct.
  • Be approachable and available to answer team member and client questions or concerns/issues.
  • Recruit, interview and hire technicians with the assistance of the service manager and plumbing director.
  • Work with the HVAC branch manager providing guidance and assistance where needed.
  • Manage the revenue and COGS to meet and exceed company performance goals.
  • Provide to the WCA Operations Manager plans of capital expenditure needs for the department and be prepared to justify.
