Package Designer

We are in the process of recruiting a Package Designer for our Wholesale Distribution industry located in New Jersey. This role is an exciting opportunity for skilled individuals to bring packaging concepts to life within a dynamic team. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative visual packaging for presenting to retailers, considering cost factors and printing limitations.
• Design packaging solutions for various configurations such as boxes, hangtags, blisters, clamshells, etc.
• Direct and plan photo shoots from inception to completion, collaborating with external photographers, stylists, and assisting in styling photo shoots.
• Create branding logos for use on packaging, commercials, and all collateral materials, ensuring originality in artwork.
• Communicate effectively with the product development team throughout the artwork design and creation process.
• Retouch and color correct digital files or provide clear direction to external retouchers.
• Review print proofs to ensure color and quality standards are met.
• Generate assets and renderings for Sales presentations.
• Provide creative feedback to other designers to assist in advancing concepts.
• Conduct market research to stay updated with the latest packaging trends and share insights with the package design team.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in package design in the wholesale distribution industry.
• Proficiency in 3D Modeling is required for creating and visualizing package designs.
• Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop, is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in designing packages that are both visually engaging and functional.
• Knowledge of packaging and labeling regulations and standards is necessary.
• Familiarity with different packaging components and materials, and the ability to select the most appropriate ones for each product.
• Proven track record in packaging design, including creating innovative designs that enhance brand identity and product appeal.
• Ability to create mockups that accurately represent the final product.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
