Tax Manager

The role is centered around the CPA industry and involves reviewing tax returns, leading tax planning, and managing client engagements. This role also requires interaction with the C-suite or decision makers of clients and involvement in firm marketing and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze all types of tax returns prepared by firm personnel
• Lead tax planning and projections for clients
• Handle federal and state tax audits and communicate effectively with regulatory authorities
• Manage all phases of client engagements, from time budget monitoring to providing 'client-ready' deliverables
• Coordinate staffing of engagement teams and serve as a mentor to associates, senior accountants, and supervisors
• Maintain a 'value add' relationship with respective individuals in the C-suite of client companies
• Represent the firm at industry, client, and technical external events
• Participate actively in tax department initiatives and contribute to firm marketing and business development initiatives
• Conduct in-house CPE training
• Utilize various skills such as Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Accounting Functions, Annual Income Tax Provision, Auditing, and Compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on estates and trusts.
