Buyers Assistant

This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the update, verification, change and completion of purchase requisitions by comparing requested items to actual demand, minimum requirements and usage trend.
• Seek quotes from various vendors and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with accounting and shipping departments to resolve any arising issues.
• Prepare and complete weekly or daily assigned reports.
• Assist in maintaining system costs in ERP.
• Review reports and handle purchasing tasks.
• Monitor and manage price changes and quotes.
• Collaborate with various departments including accounting and shipping.
• Handle price change notifications and updates.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience as a Buyers Assistant or in a similar role
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, with specific skills in VLOOKUP
• Familiarity with Order Entry systems and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to function as a Buyer, with a keen eye for product selection and negotiation
• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret sales performance and market trend data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Proven organizational and time management skills, with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
