All About You:

The System Engineer - Network & Cybersecurity defines the specification, the architecture, and the interfaces of the BESS Network & Cybersecurity to satisfy customer requirements. The individual is responsible for performance/technical requirements of the BESS Network & Cybersecurity and their implementation into sub-systems.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the conformity of the network design to the product requirements. The Systems Engineer performs network and cybersecurity system design definition to ensure product design for the US market with respect to technical requirements, design quality, and product costs according to product engineering rules and building blocks.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Systems Engineering preferred, other technical disciplines considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in systems engineering environment, electrical/communication system networking and cybersecurity
  • Fully fluent in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Skilled in MS office (including MS Project), PLM and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of Moxa, RedLion, and Firewall Fortinet, Cisco and Hirschmann switches, fiber optics, RJ45 ethernet
  • Good understanding of operational dynamics

Responsibilities:

  • Defines the network architecture of the BESS installed at the customers' premises as an integrator
  • Participates in client led meetings and relevant projects.
  • Perform work on routers such as Moxa, RedLion and Firewall Fortinet, Cisco and Hirschmann switches, fiber optics, RJ45 ethernet
  • Defines the network architecture
  • Interfaces with internal and external teams (subcontractors) when setting up adn configuring networks
  • Provides technical and functional expertise on the network and cybersecurity elements during the implementation of projects
  • Studies, analyses, and recommends technical viable and cost optimized choices related to BESS network and cybersecurity system design and application
  • Sets up template files allowing the creation of configurations based on standard architectures of network and cybersecurity system designs
  • Develops and updates project documentation to document BESS network and cybersecurity designs and implmentations in the field
  • Develops BESS network and cybersecurity test procedures and monitors their execution
