Manufacturing Process Engineer Senior
A Manufacturing Process Engineer Senior is needed for a company that manufactures and sells marking, tracking and computer printing technologies in the Holtsville, NY area. This role involves leading and implementing manufacturing process improvements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing engineering changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost reduction using Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 frameworks.

responsibilities:
- Support cost reduction projects for mass production and new products.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Industry 4.0 as frameworks.
- Lead and validate Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 maturity levels with suppliers or Distribution Centers.
- Utilize LSS & Industry 4.0 tools such as line balancing, continuous flow line layout, 5S, TPM, OMS, CTQ, PFMEA, automation, and digitization solutions for process improvements.
- Conduct audits to measure LSS & Industry 4.0 maturity levels and identify opportunities and gaps.
- Work with internal and external teams to analyze and improve processes, focusing on root causes and eliminating recurrence of issues.
- Manage engineering changes, deviations, and MFGO processes, including evaluating impact, risks, and material disposition.
- Review and approve work instructions and ensure correct implementation of manufacturing processes and parameters.
- Ensure production BOM accuracy and alignment with Agile references.
Skills:
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and experience in Medical Devices, Personal Care, Consumer Electronics, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing (a plus).
- strong knowledge of Process/Industrial Engineering and Lean & Six Sigma.
- Experience with New Product Launches and Project Management.
- Experience with Process FMEA, Control Plans, and error proofing.
- Experience creating cost models and performing feasibility analysis.
- Working knowledge of project payback analysis and financial justification (ROI).
- Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Safety, Regulatory, and Quality Assurance.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
- With 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Distribution Centers.
- Green Belt certification (a plus).
