Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role is perfect for an experienced Legal Assistant looking to advance their career in the legal field. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen interest in legal procedures, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus but not required. • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role.
• strong interest in pursuing a career as a Paralegal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
• Paralegal certification or coursework in progress is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and other court filings.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and other legal materials.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with client communication and scheduling meetings.
• Support the litigation team in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions.
• File legal documents with courts and government agencies in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring all actions are completed timely.
• Handle administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, answering phones, and maintaining legal databases.
