We are in search of a meticulous Quality Assurance Manager IV (Contractor) to join our virtual team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, your primary role will be to ensure the successful integration of software systems and components across hardware systems in adherence to specified requirements.
You will be tasked with testing products and software to guarantee quality and successful deployment. This position also involves assisting in managing an additional scrum team and actively participating in and leading the defect triage process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple scrum/application teams across various tasks.
- Proactively take leadership across numerous applications/initiatives.
- Design and develop QA/Test solutions based on available requirements, even if they are not fully defined, to maintain timely progress.
- Develop a test strategy across larger initiatives and present this strategy across internal audience considering scope, environment, data, and other dependencies.
- Monitor dependencies across multiple applications that affect Testing.
- Regularly communicate progress and roadblocks, seeking assistance when needed.
- Assist and monitor progress in code quality and defect reduction.
- Facilitate increased automation coverage across applications.
- Provide mentorship to engineers and offer technical guidance to leadership.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our applications/tools/procedures.
- Track and report on established QA metrics and KPIs for assigned projects. • Demonstrated proficiency in Procedures and Design.
- Familiarity with the program 'About Time'.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams.
- Experience in website development and maintenance.
- Proven ability to track and report on progress.
- Knowledge of automation techniques and tools.
- Background in Engineering, with a focus on Quality Assurance.
- Understanding of best Practices in Quality Assurance.
- Experience with Metric Reporting and KPI Reporting.
- Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to write and execute SQL Queries.
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Experience with Media production and Video technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles.
- Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, including Component Selection.
- Ability to write and review Specification documents.
- Experience with REST API testing.
- Knowledge of Defect Management processes and tools.
- Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field.
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
