Accounts Payable Clerk

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Cheshire, Connecticut. This role involves significant vouching and data entry tasks, as well as problem-solving skills. As part of a team-oriented workplace, you will be working in an open concept setting and collaborating with five other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process a volume of 150 invoices daily, with slower days around 80-90 invoices
• Distribute emails to vendors as part of the Accounts Payable team
• Handle primary vouching tasks daily
• Open and distribute mail as required
• Solve problems independently, demonstrating a proactive approach
• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing
• Conduct check runs and invoice coding as part of regular duties
• Maintain the same work routine for approximately 70% of the time, ensuring consistency and efficiency in tasks.
• Must possess skills in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required
• Ability to perform Check Runs efficiently
• Must be adept at Coding Invoices
• Strong Data Entry skills are pivotal for this role
• Should be well-versed in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Working knowledge of Oracle is required
• QuickBooks expertise is a necessity for this role
• Familiarity with SAP software is required
