Shop Manager (Weekend Shift)

Responsibilities:
The Weekend Shop Manager (Thursday to Monday schedule) will oversee a small team during the weekend, and assist the Operations Management team throughout the week. They will facilitate the inbound and outbound processes, coordinate with other departments to ensure all orders are well-executed and delivered, and be tasked with project management and operational improvements.The Weekend Shop Manager’s responsibilities also include enforcing company policies and ensuring compliance with safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
Supervisory responsibilities
Supervise all operational staff within assigned shift
Essential functions- Plan out each day’s work and manage small team of shop technicians with varied skills and experience levels.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks.
- Supervise and test equipment to ensure proper and acceptable functionality.
- Scan orders and transfers to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure all outbound equipment is staged and ready for shipment, on time.
- Keep floor and other work areas neat and organized, and keep thruways accessible.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding workflow, shortages and damaged equipment.
- Utilize and understand PRG’s equipment inventory program to ensure gear availability.
- Facilitate deliveries and pickups with Logistics Department.
- Manage projects and operational improvements as assigned by the Shop Manager, Operations Manager, and/or General Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Proven history of outstanding customer service, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- 3+ years working experience in Audio Visual, TV/Film, Concert and/or Broadcast equipment rentals and/or production operations and management.
- Strong knowledge of audio, video, camera, LED, media server, projector, cable, and fiber equipment, audio and video formats, and signal flow.
- Must have demonstrated time management and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and multi-task well to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact with customers and colleagues on a professional level.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication. Fluency in English required.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations, with the ability to adapt positively to changes in priorities with ease.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and execute other job functions with high attention to detail.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Understanding of and compliance with company policies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- As required; Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Bachelors preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 3+ years working experience in Audio Visual equipment rentals and/or production operations and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience working in a Windows / MAC OS based environment.

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $67,000-$70,000. Actual salary to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
