Summary:
Our esteemed law office is currently seeking a seasoned Family Law Associate Attorney to join our hybrid/remote team based in Fayetteville, GA, USA. This opening offers the chosen candidate the chance to benefit from the wisdom and proficiency of our seasoned team members.Responsibilities on a day-to-day basis will involve offering legal advice to clients, conducting legal research, creating and preparing legal documents, representing clients in court, and ensuring all client records are current. We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment, is dedicated to client satisfaction, and is motivated by accomplishing shared objectives.
What you will do:
- As Family Law Associate Attorney you will conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of other attorneys
- Prepare and/or edit legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Enjoy working for and with people of diverse, ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds
- Conduct client case assessments
- Assist clients in determining the proper solutions to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
- Represent clients in court appearances
- Supervise paralegal staff
- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and other staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
- Learn and follow firm policies and procedures
- Meet monthly billable hour requirements
What you will need:
- Must have a Georgia bar license in good standing
- At least 5 years of practicing as an attorney in Georgia family law is required, probate experience is a plus
- Experience using MyCase, Clio Manage, Adobe, Peach Court, MS Suite is required.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills are required to work with all levels of clients, staff members, and other attorneys
