Assistant Project Manager
EPC firm in Richmond, VA is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager. In this role, you will support project managers on a variety of projects, manage smaller and less complex projects independently, and act as a key coordinator and liaison among clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Prior experience in a heavy industrial or construction environment is helpful. Experience with large project management is required.

responsibilities:
- Assist project managers on a variety of projects of varying complexity.
- Manage smaller and less complex projects independently.
- Act as a coordinator and project liaison to clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain document control, manage databases, and track project activities and communications.
- Assist with the development of RFP packages, bid and selection processes, and detailed scope of work documents.
- Manage contractors' submittals, RFIs, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs.
- Verify contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management programs.
- Execute contracts, manage change orders, approve invoices, and oversee schedules.
- Assist with project controls, including cost reporting, scheduling, and project set-up and closeout.
- Develop internal and external reports such as project budgeting, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and status updates.
- Participate in project risk reviews and consult with the Legal Department as needed.
- Close out contract and project documentation, ensuring adherence to safety programs, trainings, and policies.
