Job Summary:

The Residence Inn Madison is looking for a new leader for our front desk team!

The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager while providing attentive courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. He/she is also responsible for maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Must have valid driver's license for applicable state
  • Clear communication skills required
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to handle stressful, high-pressure situations, including guest objections and disputes
  • Ability to show initiative and anticipate needs
  • Effective problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to understand and work with financial information and data
  • Must be able to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests

Responsibilities not limited but to include:

  • Approach guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance.
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Set the standard for guest relations at the Front Desk and obtain necessary information when taking room reservations.
  • Monitor VIP and special guest requests, review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
  • Fully comprehend and execute all relevant phases of the front desk computer system.
  • Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups and all rates, packages, and promotions currently underway.
  • Oversee and ensure that all guests are checked in/out in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Assist in training of new hires and current associates on a regular basis, and attend meetings as required by management.

Additional Information:

Pay: $18.00 per hour
