Sr. Accountant

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in a location. This role involves managing all accounting operational functions, consolidating financial data for internal and external financial statements, and leading the departmental staff with a positive, detail-oriented attitude.

• Manage the operations of the finance department, which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close of the income statement and balance sheet, along with account reconciliations & G/L analysis.
• Prepare and present cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash operations.
• Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques.
• Present monthly financial reports to the executive committee and partners.
• Assist in the production and monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts on a monthly basis.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Oracle for various accounting functions, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Perform general ledger tasks, including month-end close activities. • Possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial records and statements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, maintaining the integrity of financial data.
• Experience in executing Bank Reconciliations to verify the company's bank balance with its financial records.
• Expertise in managing the General Ledger, recording all business transactions in a systematic manner.
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries, providing accurate and timely entries to the general ledger.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, utilizing advanced features for efficient financial data management.
• Experience in performing Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and reported correctly.
• Familiarity with Oracle Financial Software, using it for various accounting operations.
• Mastery of Excel Formulas, utilizing them to streamline and automate financial calculations and data analysis.
