Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to support our Risk Management team! This individual will report to the Director of Risk Management, collaborate with team members, play an integral role in implementing and optimizing procedures, researching and processing professional licenses company-wide.

The Risk Management Specialist will have an opportunity to work closely with our professionals at all levels, communicate with State licensing authorities and other corporate and technical teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports all regions in assisting employees with individual licensing and certification applications, renewals and related licensing processes in all design fields, including engineering, surveying, architecture, and landscape architecture. Training will be provided as necessary.
  • Individually and collaboratively with Risk Management Team, develops processes surrounding Risk Management initiatives and individual licensing.
  • Gathers all required information, documentation and applicable signatures; then collaborates to renew and process licenses and various certifications.
  • Maintains and updates Professional Council records for employees (NCEES, NCARB, CLARB), including supporting and drafting work history summaries.
  • With attorney oversight, maintains knowledge of existing and developing laws and regulations related to individual licensing processes.
  • Prepares and processes licensing information and reports as needed.
  • Works closely with State licensing boards to obtain information relative to licensing applications as needed.
  • Renews and maintains real estate licenses.
  • Resolves individual licensing issues as they arise.
  • Supports Risk Management Team in managing Firm licenses.
  • Compiles information for various Risk Management initiatives.
  • Provides administrative support to Risk Management attorneys.
  • Establishes & maintains positive relationships with co-workers, support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices.
  • Collaborate with team to share information to improve efficiency and help others achieve goals; listens and engages in productive and critical debate.
  • Suggests new ideas and processes; stay informed of developments in practice areas; views obstacles as opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in related field.
  • Prior experience in the AEC industry and/or other professional licenses preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
