URBN QA Manager
Role Summary:
URBN is hiring a Manager of QA - Software Engineering to be based in the Philadelphia Navy Yard at our URBN Headquarters. This role will lead, review and participate in development testing activities relating to the development of the next generation of the Urban Outfitters website.As part of a cross- functional agile team, you will utilize the latest web technologies and testing tools to ensure the team continuously releases quality functionality to the URBN site.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage directly a team of QA Engineers responsible for our API services
- Focuses on improvements to test framework architecture and test coverage.
- Drives adoption of best practices across teams
- Create and maintain automated testing framework and scripts
- Coach exploratory testing, identify and perform regression tests, and write automated tests
- Conducts performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback to team.
- Develop, code, and implement automation framework tests
- Provide feedback on the various testing results and assist in shaping release efforts that support various business initiatives
- Participate in agile team practices
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to enable QA automation across the enterprise
Job Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior management to associate level
- Solid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards (Jenkins, Docker)
- Working knowledge writing and executing performance tests
Role Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance with automation responsibilities (or comparable skillset)
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Manager
- Experience in continuous delivery of micro-services with test automation
- Experience with web services / API testing
- Proven success working in Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent scripting language skills in tools such as Cucumber, Robot Framework, Python, Javascript etc.
- Working knowledge of retail, online commerce
- Use of AI tools in automation a plus
