Chicago - Diesel Mechanic B
Responsibilities:
Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in McCook, IL.
Shift: Full-Time l 3rd Shift -Wednesday-Saturday 10:00PM-8:30AM OFF Sunday-Monday!
Pay: Starts at $28.00/HR+ (Based on experience/qualifications)

Position Responsibilities:
- The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed
- As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
- You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration
- You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
- Must have a valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles
- Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Technical School Certification
