Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy, contributing to the efficiency of our accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate smooth payment processes.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
