We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Human Resource Assistant, based in the south metro, Minnesota area. The chosen candidate will oversee administrative functions, manage reception duties, and support HR processes, while also assisting with financial tasks such as processing payroll and invoices. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the reception area, managing the greeting of guests, answering of telephones, and guiding visitors or calls to the correct area or person.
- Assist with new hire and onboarding paperwork, including carrying out pre-employment background checks and organizing new employee screenings.
- Perform bi-weekly payroll processing and manage accounts payable, ensuring accurate financial record keeping.
- Assist with benefits enrollment in their HRIS system.
- Coordinate office schedule, arrange meetings, conference calls, and order lunch for onsite and offsite meetings.
- Assist in arranging and coordinating travel schedules and reservations.
- Order and maintain office supplies within the defined budget.
- Capable of administrative assistance and managing expense reports
- Ability to handle onboarding and background checks
- Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
