Overview:

#CAES is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to learn from our world-class process engineering group. This will be a 3-month summer internship. This role is in San Jose, CA and there is no relocation available for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Assist engineers with projects related to automated semiconductor assembly, including but not limited to programming machines, designing assembly aid fixtures, and working with vendors to resolve production or material issues.
  • Perform tests, summarize data and create reports, including but not limited to evaluating alternative materials, extending material shelf life, assist in evaluating or assessing new equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

  • Must show definite interest and desire to work on process problems and improvements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with completing project assignments (i.e., engineering, lab, or other relevant project).
  • Ability and desire to work hands-on in a team environment is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required to work with a wide variety of people.
  • Familiar with Computer Aided Design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or DraftSight.

Salary Range: $30.00- $35.00 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
