We are Unio, an established Wealth Management business backed by Great-West Lifeco, via its Irish subsidiary Irish Life Group.

Unio specialises in private wealth management and employee benefit consultancy and has over 30 years’ experience advising companies and personal investors.

With offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway, Unio has €14 billion in assets under administration and advice. We advise more than 10,000 private clients in relation to wealth management.

A key component within Unio, the Wealth Management division oversees all client engagement including delivery of a unique outcome-based proposition to existing and prospective clients. This is delivered through the wealth management advisory team and supported by the client service function.

The Wealth Management team develop insightful thought leadership content and will lead and refine the capability of the wealth management advisory team.

In addition, this Division will develop a deep understanding of what drives client values, opportunities for growth, emerging disruptions, and value-based pricing and proposition activities.

Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced leader to join a growing and dynamic team and be part of a business at the leading edge of Wealth Management in Ireland. This unique role combines leadership responsibilities with delivering our unique client proposition to the Professional Services sector in Ireland, including but not limited to Health Professionals, Law and Accountancy partners.

As Head of Professionals and Executives segment, you will not only lead and guide your team but actively participate in the development and growth of this business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Advisers by setting clear objectives and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Ensure advisers are aligned to the target client segment and have in-depth knowledge of their segment.
  • Lead and manage advisers and take accountability for collective performance as well as their own.
  • Increase income by growing share of wallet from existing clients, new prospect clients sourced through business development and to source new clients from within this sector.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement Unio Executive Financial Planning proposition to the Professional Services sector across Unio Employee Benefits and Irish Life Group.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to ensure the team's strategies remain current and effective.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and providing strategic solutions.
  • Act as a point of contact for HR directors, CPO’s, demonstrating exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the team's success.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data and feedback.

Skills And Qualifications:

  • Significant years’ experience working in the financial services sector as a Financial Adviser.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial principles and markets.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong demonstrable record in relationship management built up through relevant work experience.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and client interactions.
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent presentation skills are essential.
  • Be a strong team player.
  • Relevant qualifications, (minimum QFA) CFP preferable or CFP commenced, or equivalent suitable qualification.
