Accounting Manager

This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards while supporting the financial health of our organization.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of the general ledger.
• Manage lease accounting processes, ensuring compliance with ASC 842, and maintain accurate records of lease agreements and related financial obligations.
• Handle all aspects of capital accounting, including tracking and reporting on capital expenditures, asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Perform and review intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Investigate and analyze financial variances, including production costs, budget vs. actual results, and other key financial metrics, providing insights to management for decision-making.
• Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
• Develop and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, including cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842 and capital asset management
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve variances, providing clear explanations and actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing accounting teams.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations.
