Job Summary:
Commercial Enterprise Product Management is looking for a Product Specialist to manage an assigned line of business by evaluating product changes, performing competitor analysis, and collaborating with necessary business units to ensure profitability and growth.As an individual contributor, the Product Specialist assists in answering coverage questions, maintaining manuals, and reports on data analysis and market trends on a quarterly basis. This non-technical role offers a great opportunity to utilize your experience in a new, innovative way.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Conduct market research on competitors and develop new insurance products at the direction of the Product Manager.
- Collaborate with Corporate Product Compliance (CPC) on template upgrades, bureau changes, and other requests.
- Provide technical training to underwriters for new and existing products or services.
- Research and develop new forms, draft manuscript endorsements, maintain manuals, provide technical consultation support to underwriters and Regional Managers.
- Research and prepare technical articles and training materials, provide the Sales & Marketing departments with content for brochures & trade shows.
- Assist with reinsurance questions and implementation of changes due to revisions in reinsurance contracts, participate in underwriting file reviews and the assessment of training needs at a Region and/or Profit Center level.
- 7 years commercial multi-line underwriting or staff underwriting experience
- Oral and written communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Knowledge of personal computers with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel programs
- Time management & organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field
- CPCU and/or CIC designations or demonstrated proficiency through applicable experience
**The successful candidate resides in one of our operating states: Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia or Wisconsin
**Candidates who live within 50 miles of one of our offices in West Bend, Madison or Appleton, WI will be expected to work a hybrid schedule
