Accounting Manager

This Accounting Manager position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, assisting with financial reporting and year-end audit preparation as well as support of the budget and forecast activities.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger structure for accuracy
• Ensure comprehensive and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures
• Oversee the accurate and prompt reporting of all monthly financial data
• Assist in daily banking requirements, including bank reconciliations
• Manage the accurate and timely processing of all cash receipt transactions
• Oversee monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities to ensure they are performed accurately and promptly
• Contribute to budget and forecasting activities
• Analyze departmental work to develop more efficient procedures and better use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to improve the workflow of the department
• Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements

The ideal Accounting Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.

Other requirements for the Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Non-profit industry experience.
• Experience with SAGE Intacct
• FQHS (Federally Qualified Health Center) experience would be preferred
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, EXCEL, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
