Mhe Technician - Richmond

Dreisbach Enterprises operates cold storage facilities in the East Bay. Our Richmond, CA facility is looking for MHE technicians to join our maintenance team.

$23-27/hr depending on experience

Monday - Friday Day Shift

Join our talented engineering team that supports all maintenance aspects of material handling equipment. Our technicians:

• Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance
• Perform routine and major repairs to a variety of battery powered equipment
• Prepares cost estimates for repairs and makes recommendations
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner. Including maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history
• Capability to diagnose engine issues by analyzing symptoms and using diagnostic equipment
• Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, sockets, gear pullers screwdrivers, jacks, drill press, screw gun, electric drill, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Report any safety hazards or concerns

Requirements

This exciting entry-level opportunity seeks individuals with a minimum of 6 months of experience in material handling equipment, automobiles, or other powered machinery. Furthermore, ideal candidates will possess:

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and in written
• The ability to multi-task
• Be able to properly operate a wide variety of power tools, motorized pallet-jacks and warehouse equipment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
• Have the ability to lift 50 pounds at times
• Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Our warehouses are refrigerated. Applicants must be able to work in various environments, including temperature-controlled facilities and outdoor settings.
• Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairwells
• Able to lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks
• Able to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods
• Work varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs
