About Our Client

Our client is a frozen food manufacturer based in Los Angeles. They are looking to expand their business in the club and mainstream markets, so they are looking for an expert in these markets. This role requires 1-2x a week onsite in their Northern Los Angeles headquarters office, plus travel to key accounts and meetings.

Job Description
  • Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies for club and mainstream channels to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major retailers, distributors, and club store buyers to maximize market penetration and profitability.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use insights to adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Collaboration with Executive Team: Work closely with the CEO and other executives to align sales initiatives with the company's vision and strategic objectives.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Oversee sales forecasting and budgeting processes. Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and effective promotional strategies.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to enhance brand loyalty and drive repeat business.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sales teams and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of club and mainstream retail channels.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Not for New York City Applicants.

What's on Offer
  • Compensation:

Base Pay: $150,000 - $208,000

Discretionary Bonus Pay: 30%-50%
  • Must live in Los Angeles and be willing to come onsite a minimum of 1x per week
